Ich wurde von Februar bis Mai 2026 in einer Residenz in Monflanquin aufgenommen. Während meines Aufenthalts habe ich mich für populäre Überzeugungen interessiert, die uns Glück bringen und sich um unsere Angehörigen kümmern.
Ich habe intime, familiäre, kulturelle, erfundene oder religiöse Gesten gesammelt, um diesen Hoffnungsschimmer zu suchen, wie den Wunsch, an tröstenden Zeichen festzuhalten, die Widerstand ermöglichen. Diese Überzeugungen, die von Verwandten weitergegeben werden, beleben ihre Erinnerungen, indem sie ihre Gesten verlängern.
Das erste geerntete Element war die Forsythia, eine in der Landschaft des Lot-et-Garonne sehr verbreitete Pflanze, die am Ende des Winters blüht. Seine goldgelben Blüten sind kleine Sonnen, die den Frühling ankündigen. Diese Pflanze stammt aus den Bergen Asiens und stellt in der chinesischen und kambodschanischen Kultur, aus der ich komme, ein starkes Symbol für Wohlstand, Gesundheit und Reichtum dar.
Durch gefertigte Gegenstände und kleine Geschichten habe ich mich für das interessiert, was die Wesen verbindet: die Anekdoten, die wir austauschen, die Überzeugungen, die uns begleiten, die Rituale, die wir erfinden, um die Welt zu bewohnen und mit ihren Zwängen umzugehen."

«I was hosted in residence at Monflanquin from February to May 2026\. During my stay, I became interested in popular beliefs, those that bring us luck and take care of our needs.

«I was hosted in residence at Monflanquin from February to May 2026. During my stay, I became interested in popular beliefs, those that bring us luck and take care of our loved ones.
I have collected intimate, family, cultural, invented or religious gestures to seek this glimmer of hope, like a desire to cling to comforting signs that allow us to resist. These beliefs, transmitted by relatives, revive their memories by prolonging their gestures.
The first harvested element was forsythia, a plant very present in the landscape of Lot-et-Garonne, which blooms at the end of winter. Its yellow flowers like gold are as many small suns announcing the arrival of spring. Native to the mountains of Asia, this plant represents, in the Chinese and Cambodian culture from which I come, a strong symbol of prosperity, health and wealth.
Through manufactured objects and small stories, I became interested in what connects beings: the anecdotes we exchange, the beliefs that accompany us, the rituals we invent to inhabit the world and cope with its constraints.”

Sono stata accolta in residenza a Monflanquin da febbraio a maggio 2026. Durante il mio soggiorno, mi sono interessata alle credenze popolari, quelle che ci portano fortuna e si prendono cura dei nostri cari.
Ho raccolto gesti intimi, familiari, culturali, inventati o religiosi, per cercare quel filo di speranza, come un desiderio di aggrapparmi a segni confortanti che permettono di resistere. Queste credenze, tramandate dai parenti, ravvivano i loro ricordi prolungando i loro gesti.
Il primo elemento raccolto è stata la forsythia, una pianta molto presente nel paesaggio del Lot-et-Garonne, che fiorisce alla fine dell'inverno. I suoi fiori gialli come l'oro sono piccoli soli che annunciano la primavera. Originaria delle montagne dell'Asia, questa pianta rappresenta, nella cultura cinese e cambogiana da cui provengo, un forte simbolo di prosperità, salute e ricchezza.
Attraverso oggetti fatti e piccole storie, mi sono interessata a ciò che unisce gli esseri: le aneddoti che condividiamo, le credenze che ci accompagnano, i rituali che inventiamo per abitare il mondo e convivere con i suoi vincoli.»

« J’ai été accueillie en résidence à Monflanquin de février à mai 2026. Durant mon séjour, je me suis intéressée aux croyances populaires, celles qui nous portent chance et prennent soin de nos proches.
J’ai collecté des gestes intimes, familiaux, culturels, inventés ou religieux, pour chercher ce brin d’espérance, comme un désir de s’accrocher à des signes réconfortants qui permettent de résister. Ces croyances, transmises par des proches, ravivent leurs souvenirs en prolongeant leurs gestes.
Le premier élément récolté a été le forsythia, une plante très présente dans le paysage du Lot-et-Garonne, qui fleurit à la fin de l’hiver. Ses fleurs jaunes comme l’or sont autant de petits soleils annonçant l’arrivée du printemps. Originaire des montagnes d’Asie, cette plante représente, dans la culture chinoise et cambodgienne dont je suis issue, un symbole fort de prospérité, de santé et de richesse.
À travers des objets fabriqués et de petites histoires, je me suis intéressée à ce qui relie les êtres : les anecdotes que l’on échange, les croyances qui nous accompagnent, les rituels que l’on invente pour habiter le monde et composer avec ses contraintes. »

Fui acogida en residencia en Monflanquin de febrero a mayo de 2026. Durante mi estancia, me interesé en las creencias populares, aquellas que nos llevan suerte y cuidan de nuestros seres queridos.
He recogido gestos íntimos, familiares, culturales, inventados o religiosos, para buscar ese rayo de esperanza, como un deseo de aferrarse a signos consoladores que permiten resistir. Estas creencias, transmitidas por familiares, reavivan sus recuerdos al prolongar sus gestos.
El primer elemento cosechado fue la forsythia, una planta muy presente en el paisaje del Lot-et-Garonne, que florece al final del invierno. Sus flores amarillas como el oro son todos pequeños soles que anuncian la llegada de la primavera. Originaria de las montañas de Asia, esta planta representa, en la cultura china y camboyana de la que provengo, un fuerte símbolo de prosperidad, salud y riqueza.
