Die Karmeliterkapelle ist ein integraler Bestandteil des ehemaligen Klosters, das zwischen 1624 und 1627 gegründet wurde. Im März 2006 zerstörte ein verheerender Brand einen großen Teil des Klosters und beschädigte die Kapelle schwer. Als Reaktion darauf unternimmt die Gemeinde Ploërmel ein ehrgeiziges Restaurierungsprojekt, das darauf abzielt, die ursprünglichen Volumina wiederherzustellen und wieder Publikum zu empfangen.

The chapel of the Carmelites is an integral part of the former convent founded between 1624 and 1627. In March 2006, a devastating fire destroyed much of the convent, severely damaging the chapel. In response, the municipality of Ploërmel undertook an ambitious restoration project aimed at restoring the original volumes and allowing it to welcome new audiences.
