Created at the turn of the 20th century by the German administration in charge of heritage, the Denkmalarchiv contains nearly 35,000 documents in a wide variety of formats and dimensions. Essential witness for the history of the evolution of architecture and urbanism in Alsace-Moselle, it also highlights the work of local and German artists. Join us for a private tour of this remarkable iconographic collection!
2 tours commented by the heritage documentation and archives department of the DRAC Grand Est. Departures at 1:45 PM and 3 PM. Duration about 50 minutes. 10 people maximum per group.

Built from 1883 till 1889 by Hermann Eggert, the old(former) German imperial palace joins at the heart of Neustadt of Strasbourg. Historical monument property of the State, the Palace of the Rhine is " national domain " since May 4th, 2017\. He(It) is the Big(Great) seat(siege) of DRAC is (Ministry of Culture) and of the Central commission for navigation on the Rhine. He(It) also shelters the Service(Department) of the Inventory of the cultural heritage (region). The park is not currently open to the public because of works of putting in accessibility; the old(former) stables (on the corner of the streets of the marshal brother and of the marshal Foch) are only visible from the outside.
