The church of Saint-Sébastien, originally built in 997 next to the castle by Heimon, has survived the centuries despite wars and destructions. Rebuilt in 1482 by Jean Mengin, dean of Dieulouard, it was consecrated in 1504\. Ravaged by the Huguenots in 1562, then affected by the two world wars, it bears witness to the resilience of the local heritage. In February 1918, two German aerial torpedoes fell on the church without exploding. Considered as a miracle, this event is immortalized by the metal envelopes of the bombs attached to the pillars of the building.
The crypt, located under the choir, dates back to the 12th century and is said to have been built on an old Gallic cave. It consists of a nave and a choir with three Romanesque openings, each dedicated to San Sebastian. A rear chapel is dedicated to Our Lady of Scarponne, in front of which Joan of Arc is said to have prayed in 1429 before her departure for Chinon.
