À propos du lieu

Hôtel Le Boulleur

2 rue Claude Gillot, 52200 Langres

Haute-Marne

Grand Est

Mansion located in the canonical enclosure probably dating from the 1770 decade.
From 1768 to 1781, it was the property of Canon Thomas-Louis Leboulleur. The main door, topped with a segmental arch, is equipped with a frame revealing some touches of originality in its floral decor. The living rooms, cabinets and bedrooms still have most of their original woodwork, offering a homogeneous and particularly well-preserved whole. In 1911, the director of the diocesan magazine with international circulation "L'Ami du clergé" acquired it to use as an office, library, accommodation and printing workshop. At the time of the disappearance of the journal in 2003, renamed in 1969 «Esprit & Vie», no. 2 remained property of the diocesan association of Langres. She is made available to the weekly newspaper 'La Croix de la Haute-Marne', renamed 'La Voix de la Haute-Marne', until her move to Chaumont.
