Free conference on the history of Art Deco woodwork of Limoges Bénédictins, and on railway heritage in general. In the Georges Clancier room at the Bibliothèque Francophone Multimédia, a conference with three speakers will take place on the afternoon of that inaugural day, Friday 20 from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm:
- Mrs Brachet-Champsaur Director of Culture, Heritage and Memorial Policy SNCF - Directorate of External Relations,
- Mr Vedelago Deputy Regional Curator of Historical Monuments at the DRAC of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, site of Limoges,
- Mr Ragon, owner of the restoration and honorary founding president of the HistoRail museum.
The history of the stations of Limoges and especially the station unfigured in 1929, with its «large furniture» will be presented to you by Mr Vedelago.
Mrs Brachet Champsaur will present SNCF’s heritage and memorial policy.
Jacques Ragon will recount the incredible adventure of this woodwork secretly preserved for several decades and its restoration and reinstallation in "its" Benedictine station.
