The museum of the Royal Domain of Marly presents the history of the castle of Marly, designed and created by Louis XIV. This castle-garden was admired from all over Europe as well as its 8th wonder of the world, Marly’s machine which fed the fountains of the gardens. Only a privileged few are invited to share the king’s daily life during stays called Marlys. Marly’s uses are different from Versailles. This hunting residence disappeared at the beginning of the 19th century.
