Discover the rich funds of the Hôtel d'Émonville, former mansion of the Foucques d'Émonville family, built in 1861, which today houses the Abbeville Archives and Heritage Library and their exceptional collections of tens of thousands of works, iconographic documents, objects sometimes, not to mention the city’s ancient archives. These visits are rarely offered to the public because of the conservation conditions of the collections.

A written and graphic heritage concerning all the Hauts de France
Some figures: The Archives and the Heritage Library occupy the whole of the Hôtel d'Emonville: 5 floors of 200 m2 each and 5 km of shelves hosting more than 160,000 documents. Moreover, 2km of contemporary archives are preserved in the various departments of the Town Hall. Incomparable treasures: the charter of the commune of Abbeville (1184), bubbles of the twelfth century, the "Gospels of Saint-Riquier", remarkable Carolingian manuscript of the eighth century, the "City of God" printed by Pierre Gérard in Abbeville in 1486, etc.
