These archives, made up of a hundred thousand documents of various nature—photographic, filmic, sound and textual—come mainly from the collections of the Inventory and the institutions placed under the supervision of the Directorate of Heritage.
The first phase of the «Inventariu» project intends to disseminate the results of the work carried out by the Inventory Department, a key element in the heritage preservation process. This initial phase will focus on the inventory of ethnographic heritage, which is based on field surveys to study cultural practices, social representations, and the knowledge and know-how constituting Corsican identity.
This long-term research work has the ultimate objective of creating a homogeneous database accessible to the greatest number, promoting the transmission and enhancement of Corsican cultural heritage in a scientific and collective perspective.
