Located in the centre of a large agricultural domain, the Barn Huguenet was create in 1670s by Jean Georges Huguenet, grocer in the Big(Great) Street of Besançon. His descendants sold their domain on December 28th, 1799 to Jean-François Munier, vintner of the street of Vignier of the banner of Charmont. In 1848, Alphonse Delacroix having got married to Spinning jenny Munier, the small girl of Jean François, settles down in The Barn and gives it his current aspect. He was the architect of Besançon during more than 40 years, but also archélogue (invention of the site of Undersheet) and geologist (discovery of the salt mines of Miserey).
