Come and discover the tales and legends that populate the castle of Barroux! How did the Virgin and Child of the Notre-Dame la Brune Chapel survive a fire? Where does this fresco of a doe half erased in one of the rooms of the castle come from? And above all: why did its inhabitants choose to build the castle on this promontory? There must be some spells, some magic or forgotten treasures not far from here... The golden goat could probably point us if we cross it during the narrated visit!

In the heart of Provence, this medieval fortress whose origins date back to the 12th century, classified as a historical monument, is the unique place of production of an entirely Provençal whisky and certified organic. The free visit makes you relive the history of the castle and its restoration still ongoing. you will discover a breathtaking view of the typical roofs of Barroux with the backdrop of the Dentelles de Montmirail, Mont Ventoux and Comtat Venaissin. The guided tour introduces you to the secrets of whisky production, from the local culture of a unique cereal - the small spelt of Haute Provence - to the breeding through malting, brewing and distillation, and concludes with a tasting session.
