Visit of the CICRP: meeting professionals who bring heritage to life
On the occasion of the European Heritage Days 2023, the CICRP opens its doors to allow the public to meet its agents, scientists and curators of heritage, and to learn about the scientific procedures and equipment put in place for the conservation and restoration of works of art and historical monuments.
This exceptional opening, a first for many years, will allow visitors to discover a universe usually closed to the public as well as the scientific and technical assistance missions of this unique establishment in France at the service of local authorities and regional departments of cultural affairs.
It will be an opportunity to visit all the premises of the CICRP, organized around an island of greenery: 4000 m² of workshops where are restored cultural properties of the public or private domain protected as historical monuments, as well as a photo studio and scientific laboratories, places of study and diagnosis useful for knowledge, conservation and restoration of heritage.
