Le mas de Lurian: a place of living memory
For the first time in its history, the Lurian farmhouse which houses the residence of the general, opens its doors to the public. In a private environment dating from the early 19th century and which has hosted many political, military and especially from the world of culture and space, exhibitions are offered to visitors. These exhibitions focus, among others, on the history of the soap factory of Lurian and that of the mas, on regional aeronautics, on the feminization within the School and on personalities such as Charles Trenet or Romain Gary affected on the site. All these presentations are intended to show that the memory of men, events and places is a living component essential in the culture of the aviation industry in general and in that of the Air Force and space in particular.
