Known since the nineteenth century and excavated, in particular, between 1977 and 2007, the site of Cherré in Aubigné-Racan is the subject of new research since 2022: a team composed of twenty archaeologists, mandated by the Department of Sarthe, re-examine the remains of ancient monuments, their environment and all the objects that come from them, in order to restore the organization and evolution of this likely agglomeration of the Roman era. These archaeologists welcome you to the site to share with you their discoveries.
