The chapel of the priory of Penfao (destroyed before 1940) belonging to the Augustinian abbey N-D of Paimpont , "Saint-Georges" is an example, rare in the Loire-Atlantique, of rural religious building (second half of the XVIIs. essentially). Neglected" by the restorers of the XIX and XX s because of the reconstruction of the nearby church of Guénouvry in 1846 . BIBLIOGRAPHY: 1986, S. Several confessions of the 1670s (A.D.44: B793) mention "the house of the priory of about 60 feet, another house in front, a garden in the back towards midy, the chapel with its bell tower and the cemetery in front of icelle.".
