On board the Go not too fast
As part of the European Heritage Days, board the Va pas trop vite, a sailing boat classified as a Historic Monument, for a navigation in the Saint-Nazaire basin.
Cast off, you sailor!
Le Va pas trop vite, gold cutter from 1934, belongs to the Maison de Quartier de Kerlédé, in Saint-Nazaire. Last small working sailboat of the Lower Loire still sailing, this former shrimp boat is classified as a Historic Monument in 1993. A group of volunteers maintains it, makes it sail and highlights it during nautical gatherings. It welcomes children and families on board during festivities in the port of Saint-Nazaire. On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, tours in the Saint-Nazaire basin are offered free of charge. The discovery of this old rig continues with an exhibition in the underwater base (access to the pontoon of the City of Saint-Nazaire). A concert of sailors' songs takes place at 3 p.m.
