Lecture: History meets iron! European historical martial arts

Three students of the Master "public history" of Nantes University invite you to discover the historical European martial arts in pop culture. Comics, video games and the film industry have largely contributed to this public fascination for martial arts through the genre «of cloak and sword». However, the image these shows project is often false in the face of the reality of history. This conference is an opportunity to analyze and take a critical look at these representations. Commented demonstrations of European historical martial arts will follow this moment at the moat of the castle of the dukes of Brittany.
