ABBAYE SAINTE MARIE DU GUE DE TRIZAY
Abbaye de Trizay 85480 Bournezeau
Former Cistercian abbey of the Pontigny family, founded around 1142; chapter hall rebuilt in the 14th century; south wing rebuilt in the 17th - 18th centuries. Burned down in 1793, it remains only the mutilated church, the ruins of the building of the monks and the south wing of the eighteenth century.
