Guided tour of the presbytery: history, rehabilitation and discovery
During your visit, you can admire one of the most beautiful houses in the village, the presbytery. Its left wing dates back to the 15th century and was part of the former priory. In 1820, when the minor seminary was built, a new wing was added to accommodate the priests who taught. After the last parish priest left the village in 2000, the presbytery remained closed until 2014. It was thanks to the volunteers of the Pierre en Héritage association that he was rehabilitated that year. For nine years now, it has welcomed GR46 pilgrims from Rocamadour during annual campaigns.
Restoration work has shed light on 19th century naturalist paintings that adorned the living room.
Finally in the afternoon, the presentation of a slideshow of old postcards will take place, from 15:30 to 17:00, in the large living room of the presbytery.
