Built in the XIth century, the tower of the bell tower is raised(enhanced) of a floor crowned with machicolation in the XVth century. After Michelade of 1567, the cathedral is partly destroyed. Works of reconstruction begin at the end of the XVIIth century with the repair of the facade and end in the XIXth century with that of the inside. On the facade, the frieze telling the Old Testament matters(counts) among the heads - of works of the Romance sculpture in the region. Exceptional opening of the chapels of Evêque, martyrs and of the rosary.
