Guided tours of the Military Personnel Archives Centre
Come and discover the special skills that make the richness of the Military Personnel Archives Centre (MPCA) and meet these agents in the service of the memory of our Nation.
To ensure its mission as an archive centre: the collection, classification, preservation and communication of the archives of military personnel, the CAPM relies on specific know-how, trades and professions that allow preservation, the maintenance and transmission of this unique written heritage.
On the occasion of the open doors of the Bernadotte barracks, the visitor organizes his visit freely among five workshops presenting the missions and professions of the CAPM.
Three guided tours of the interior of the buildings are offered simultaneously every hour to attend the following workshops:
- archives stores;
- preservation of archives;
- archives consultation facilities.
In parallel, two open access workshops allow the visitor to learn about the documents kept at the CAPM and the processing of research requests addressed to the center.
Finally, a young public workshop invites visitors between 3 and 16 years old to discover the archives in a fun way.
