The name of the village (formerly «Temple le Sec») comes from the templars who had established there a preceptory whose existence is attested from 1252\. The present church is an extension of a building that was perhaps the main building of the preceptory. Inside, one can see a painted decoration of the seventeenth century. In the village one can also admire the old porch of a blacksmith (1762).
