Anlässlich der Europäischen Tage des Kulturerbes lädt Sie das Chateau de Rochechouart ein, die Ausstellung von Alex Cecchetti zu entdecken.
Als Dichter und Choreograf nutzt Alex Cecchetti Performance, Schreiben, Skulptur und Installation gleichermaßen. Seine Praxis ist stark von einem metaphysischen Ansatz durchdrungen und erforscht die großen Themen der Zeit, der Verbindung zur Natur und der menschlichen Erfahrung.
Alex Cecchetti ist vor allem für seine Aufführungen bekannt, in denen er oft seinen eigenen Körper als Ausdrucksmittel verwendet, und komponiert Werke, die zwischen Realität und Fiktion schwanken und die aktive Beteiligung des Publikums beinhalten.
Sein Gang ist schamanisch gefärbt und seine Werke wirken wie Beschwörungen, um tiefe sensorische und emotionale Erfahrungen zu vermitteln. Im Kontext des Schlosses und seiner Umgebung bietet uns Alex Cecchetti einen Einblick in eine traumhafte Welt zwischen Metamorphose und Hybridität.
«Ich bin ein Seeungeheuer» lädt uns ein, in einer Feier der Natur zu einer ursprünglichen Dimension zurückzukehren, «wieder Wald zu werden, wieder vage zu werden» nach den eigenen Worten des Künstlers.

Artist-poet and choreographer Alex Cecchetti uses performance, writing, sculpture and installation. His practice is strongly imbued with a metaphysical approach, exploring the major themes of time, the link to nature and human experience.
Known primarily for his performances in which he often uses his own body as a means of expression, Alex Cecchetti composes works that oscillate between reality and fiction, involving the active participation of the public.
His approach is tinged with a shamanic dimension and his works act as incantations in order to offer deep sensory and emotional experiences. In the context of the castle and its surrounding nature, Alex Cecchetti offers us a dive into a dreamlike world between metamorphosis and hybridity.
«I am a sea monster» invites us, in a celebration of nature, to return to a primordial dimension, «to become forest again, to become vague» according to the artist’s own words.
Through a series of new works specially created for the museum, the exhibition draws a garden, a forest, an ocean and traces a magical circle where our bodies become jellyfish and stars, our voices move in song of birds or poems. Playing rites, spells and universal beliefs, Alex Cecchetti transports us to a poetic and enigmatic universe, where the boundaries between human and non-human are blurred

Conosciuto in primo luogo per le sue performance in cui utilizza spesso il proprio corpo come mezzo di espressione, Alex Cecchetti compone opere che oscillano tra realtà e finzione, coinvolgendo il pubblico.
Il suo approccio si tinge di una dimensione sciamanica e le sue opere agiscono come incantesimi per proporre esperienze sensoriali ed emotive profonde. Sullo sfondo del castello e della sua natura circostante, Alex Cecchetti ci propone un'immersione in un mondo onirico tra metamorfosi e ibridità.
