Anlässlich der Eröffnung der neuen renovierten Universitätsbibliothek für Rechts- und Geisteswissenschaften (in Pessac) wurde die Ausstellung Jacques Cujas 1522-2022 eröffnet. Die Fabrik eines «großen Juristen» wird für die Europäischen Tage des Kulturerbes eröffnet. Dieser Rundgang zeigt, wie sich die Figur von Jacques Cujas zu Lebzeiten in der Welt der Juristen niedergelassen hat und vor allem, wie sie sich in den letzten fünf Jahrhunderten gewandelt und (oder nicht) erhalten hat: Für Bordeaux genügt es, an seine Statue am Fuße der Ehrentreppe der ehemaligen juristischen Fakultät des Place Pey-Berland zu denken. Es handelt sich also nicht um eine neue Verherrlichung des Humanisten - der bereits seit der Renaissance als «großer Jurist» angesehen wird, sondern um eine Gelegenheit, diese Größe in Frage zu stellen und die Ansätze zu diversifizieren, seien sie historisch, juristisch oder künstlerisch. Es werden wertvolle Originalwerke (16. - 19. Jahrhundert) ausgestellt. Die Auswahl der Dokumente wird zeigen, wie die Figur des Juristen Cujas aufgebaut wurde und sich in den Beständen alter Dokumente der juristischen Fakultät auf dem Land von Montesquieu widerspiegelt. Die Ausstellung findet vom 16. September bis 14. Dezember 2023 statt. Für die Europäischen Tage des Kulturerbes 2023 nehmen Sie an einem freien Spaziergang und Führungen teil, die von Professor Xavier Prévost, Kurator der Ausstellung, kommentiert wurden.

On the occasion of the opening of the new university library law-letters renovated (in Pessac), the exhibition Jacques Cujas 1522-2022. The factory of a «great jurist» opens for the European Heritage Days. This journey shows how the figure of Jacques Cujas settled in the world of jurists during his lifetime and, above all, how it has changed and has (or not) continued for five centuries: for Bordeaux, just think of his statue at the foot of the staircase of honour of the old law faculty of the Pey-Berland square. It is therefore not a new glorification of the humanist – already considered since the Renaissance as a “great jurist” – but rather an opportunity to question this greatness by diversifying approaches, whether historical, legal or artistic. Valuable original works (16th – 19th century) will be presented. The selection of documents will show how the figure of the jurist Cujas was constructed and is reflected in the collections of ancient documents of the law faculty, on the lands of Montesquieu. The exhibition will take place from September 16 to December 14, 2023. For the 2023 European Heritage Days, take part in a free walk and guided tours by Professor Xavier Prévost, curator of the exhibition.

In occasione dell'apertura della nuova biblioteca universitaria di diritto-lettere rinnovata (a Pessac), la mostra «Jacques Cujas 1522-2022. La fabbrica di un «grande giurista» si apre per le Giornate europee del patrimonio. Questo percorso mostra come la figura di Jacques Cujas si sia insediata durante la sua vita nel mondo dei giuristi e, soprattutto, come si sia trasformata e (o meno) portata avanti da cinque secoli: per Bordeaux, basti pensare alla sua statua ai piedi dello scalone d'onore dell'antica facoltà di legge di Place Pey-Berland. Non si tratta quindi di una nuova glorificazione dell'umanista - già considerato fin dal Rinascimento come «grande giurista» - ma piuttosto di un'occasione per mettere in discussione questa grandezza diversificando gli approcci, siano essi storici, giuridici o artistici. Saranno presentate opere preziose originali (XVI - XIX secolo). La selezione dei documenti mostrerà come si è costruita la figura del giurista Cujas e si riflette nei fondi di antichi documenti della facoltà di legge, sulle terre di Montesquieu. La mostra si terrà dal 16 settembre al 14 dicembre 2023. Per le Giornate europee del patrimonio 2023, partecipa a una passeggiata libera e a visite guidate dal professor Xavier Prévost, commissario della mostra.

Con motivo de la apertura de la nueva biblioteca universitaria derecho-letras renovada (en Pessac), la exposición Jacques Cujas 1522-2022. La fábrica de un «gran jurista» se abre para las Jornadas europeas del patrimonio. Este recorrido deja ver cómo la figura de Jacques Cujas se instaló durante su vida en el mundo de los juristas y, sobre todo, cómo se transformó y perduró (o no) desde hace cinco siglos: para Burdeos, basta pensar en su estatua al pie de la escalera de honor de la antigua facultad de derecho de la plaza Pey-Berland. No se trata pues de una nueva glorificación del humanista - ya considerado desde el Renacimiento como un «gran jurista», sino más bien de una ocasión para cuestionar esta grandeza diversificando los enfoques, ya sean históricos, jurídicos o artísticos. Se presentarán valiosas obras originales (siglo XVI - XIX). La selección de documentos mostrará cómo la figura del jurista Cujas se construyó y se refleja en los fondos de documentos antiguos de la Facultad de Derecho, en las tierras de Montesquieu. La exposición tendrá lugar del 16 de septiembre al 14 de diciembre de 2023. Para las Jornadas Europeas del Patrimonio 2023, participe en una caminata libre y visitas comentadas por el profesor Xavier Prévost, comisario de la exposición.
