From the XIXth century, many villas are built in Pau at the instigation of the English and American communities which stay in the capital of Béarn. It is Henry Ridgway, a rich banker of Philadelphia, who made build in 1905 this rich house which bears its name. Henry Ridgway is then one of more important owners of horses of France, organizer(presenter) of the high life, it is "Master's degree of Fox terrier hounds" from 1901 till 1910, that is master(teacher) of hunting of fox. The villa Ridgway opens its doors for a visit of its spaces on the ground floor. The personality of the sponsor(sleeping partner) and of the architect will be presented as well as different architectural ways(means) and plans used for this programme of house. In 2002, property was acquired(bought back) by the conurbation Pau-Pyrenees to instal(settle) a Hotel of companies and today its offices(desks) there. The park was rehabilitated and opened to the public in 2007.
