This collegiate church is one of the most beautiful and largest in the Limousin. Enlarged several times, it has the particularity of having a choir almost as large as its nave. In the Romanesque style, the church possessed very important polychrome frescoes symbolizing the importance and power of the chapter of the canons of Saint-Junien for the diocese of Limoges, some of which are still visible (the old men of the Apocalypse, a giant St.Christopher of Byzantine appearance, the creeping man, the parable of the evil rich and poor Lazarus).
