The restoration works in 2023 of the water tower of Le Corbusier, in Podensac, classified as Historical Monuments, are the pretext to take a look at our Aquitaine architectural heritage and the work of youth of Charles Edouard Jeanneret dit Le Corbusier.
Denis Boulanger, project manager and Jean de Giacinto, project manager and president of the association Groupe des Cinq - association owner of the lease - will be at the helm of the conferences to present the formidable epic of this extraordinary restoration project.
From its construction in 1917 with its mysterious gloriette, to the signing of the lease in 1987, its classification as a historic Monunments in 2006, its restoration in 2023-2024, and the final project of contemporary art in 2025, you will know all the adventures of the first building of Le Corbusier in France!
The conference will take place on the site at Les Glacières de Caudéran, where you can enjoy an exhibition partly dedicated to the water tower.
