The cabinet of curiosities of the castle of Mongenan gathers around the herbarium of 138 plates of Jean-Jacques Rousseau, other Hisoric herbarium (Valdec de Lessart, Ballan de Ballensée, Alexandre Deleyre) which are a unique testimony to the flora of the eighteenth century and the modification of wetlands during the chenalisation of the Garonne. Their visit is commented by Nicole Puisné, botanist.

Delightful madness of the Louis XV period having entirely preserved its period furniture and decoration, this 18th century residence houses a museum gathering documents, earthenware, costumes, cabinet of curiosities and painted canvases, and a masonic lodge illustrating the Enlightenment. Three gardens combining rare plants and remarkable trees recall the influence exerted on this place by Jean-Jacques Rousseau.
