- Die Kirche ist von einem merowingischen Friedhof umgeben, der unter den Platanen, die die Kirche beschatten, begraben ist. Der Ortsname von Vicq weist auf eine starke römische Siedlung hin, davon zeugen die Bruchstücke, die für den Bau einer Kirche im 9. Jahrhundert als galloromanisches Heiligtum wiederverwendet wurden. Im 12. Jahrhundert kamen Pilger, um von Lepra zu heilen, indem sie Saint Front anriefen.

El topónimo de Vicq indica una fuerte implantación romana, lo atestiguan los escombros en reutilización de un santuario galorromano arado para la construcción de una iglesia en el siglo IX. En el siglo XII, los peregrinos venían a curar la lepra invocando a San Frente.
