As part of the European Heritage Days, the municipality of Dorat proposes to highlight the natural heritage through the following exhibition: the exhibition «Jardiner la Rue» made available by CAUE86 to highlight the greening of public space (borders, feet of walls, etc.).
This exhibition presents all the good reasons for “Gardening the Street”:
- Increase tourist appeal.
- Securing the town crossing.
- Integrate spontaneous vegetation.
- Return the pedestrian to his place.
- Re-create social bond.
- Valuing historical heritage.
This exhibition, co-realized by the CAUE de la Charente et de la Gironde, with the contribution of the CAUE de la Vienne, presents concrete achievements of street vegetation in a dozen municipalities of the 3 departments represented, at different scales.
