The recent fires were an opportunity to talk about the forest around us, often forgetting to mention the conditions of its creation. This is why our association has chosen this theme for its annual exhibition as part of the European Heritage Days. The exhibition traces the development of the forest since its origins by placing them in the context of agropastoralism of ancient times. This is an opportunity to dispel a few misconceptions: no, the forest was not created by Napoleon III by the magic wand of the law of 185… and no, it wasn’t enough to plant pine trees to dry out the wet moor…
On the agenda:
- Exhibition of old materials and tools related to agriculture, beekeeping and forestry. - Collection of resin pots and gemming tools. - Spinning and tapping demonstrations. - Film screening: "The night just after the forests". - Open on weekends from 10am to 7pm, and from 2pm to 6pm Monday to Friday. The exhibition is open from 16 to 24 September.
