The deposits(fields) of Laugerie Basse were occupied from Magdalenian period. The prehistoric shelter of Laugerie Basse is located in the valley of Vézère. Cliff which shelters him(her,it) was frequented since the prehistory and visit allows to tackle(approach) numerous domains from the archaeological vestiges which the site delivered: geology, human evolution, climate, flora and fauna, datings and lifestyle of the prehistoric men(people). The stratigraphy of Laugerie Basse presents many tracks of homes(foyers). The site is at once renowned for the large number of tools and on-the-spot bare adorned objects: slice(washer) of engraved bone, harpoon, statuette of head of horse and the famous female figurine called " indecent Venus ".
