The castle of Bourdeilles is one of the four baronies of Périgord. The first cases(occurrences) relating to Bourdeilles mention a fortified town which, in 1183, welcomed come monks to take refuge with the relics of saint Sicaire there. At the end of the XIIIth century, the body of a feudal building(ship) was established and remains(subsists) even today.
