The free visit will allow to discover the building which opened its doors to the public in 1919 under the name of «Bibliothèque Smith-Lesouëf» and which will be occupied by the Bibliothèque nationale de France until the 1980s, date of moving collections to central storage. The building preserves, today, the books of the former residents of the National House of Artists, as well as a set of furniture and art objects (miniatures, furniture, santons, drawings or sculptures) by Auguste Lesouëf, deposited in 2019 at the Fondation des Artistes by the Bibliothèque nationale de France.
