Guided tour of the Municipal Theatre
Built in 1904, the Coulommiers theatre has been listed as a Historic Monument since 1994, thanks to its exceptional machinery. Its architecture, sober and airy, is characterized by facades decorated with plant sculptures that frame arcade windows. Inside, the hall reflects the charm of 19th-century Italian theatres, with its characteristic balconies and galleries. However, what will captivate the most is its colors, meticulously restored in 2007, respecting the vision of architects Duval and Robida. A true place of entertainment and art, the theater will celebrate its 120th anniversary in 2024, offering visitors a multitude of cultural expressions in a setting steeped in history, source of joy and inspiration.
