The church of Sainte-Anne is located on the territory of the former commune of Gassicourt (annexed to Mantes-la-Jolie in 1930). It was formerly part of the Clunisian priory Saint-Sulpice. Built at the end of the 11th and beginning of the 12th centuries, the entire building was built in the Romanesque style, while the pointed vaults of the choir and transept bear witness to Gothic remodeling dating from the 13th century. An exceptional set of stained glass windows was installed in this same part of the church. They were offered to the priory by Saint Louis – who was very attached to Mantes – and his mother, the White Queen of Castile. They essentially represent scenes from the life of Christ as well as portraits of apostles and saints. This church was declared a Historical Monument in 1862\. It has been very restored for two centuries, in particular by Alphonse Durand between 1851 and 1877 and by Roger Camelot, between 1952 and 1963, following the bombings of 1944, which had damaged the
