Visit of the Regard des Folies (listed monument) and commented walk on the sources captured since the 15th century
The Association of Defense of the Sources of Longpont offers the visit of a little-known heritage of Longpont, because underground: the network of sources, captured and conducted to the historic village since the old regime. The guided tour presents the Regard des Folies (monument listed in the additional inventory of historical monuments), where the water collection gallery arrives. It is followed by a commented walk (about 1km, accessible to all) on the path of the network of sources received arriving at the town of Longpont, where the water appears to the light. This visit puts into perspective the history of the creation of Longpont and its development through the integration of its priory in the Cluny network. The network of springs is still functional today and testifies to the importance of the water resource as well as the know-how of its creators.
