Welcome to the Mogador Theatre, where the doors open to reveal the exceptional universe of this place steeped in history.
Discover the lounges and fireplaces where you can contemplate the works of art adorning their walls.
Visit the Lion King exhibition "Sort de Scène" and enjoy privileged moments and exchanges with our costuming teams with Tanya, Anne, Elodie and Isabelle. Between the songs of Barbara with Frédéric Longbois, and the apprenticeship of stained glass work with our specialist Catheine, the trades will be in the spotlight!
In the afternoon, you can attend the rehearsals of the Lion King* show that will transport you to the heart of the savannah. Let yourself be carried away into the world of musical comedy. Because here you are elsewhere!
*Note: The Lion King rehearsals are only accessible from the 1st floor room at the following times: 2pm/4pm & 5pm/6pm.

1919 - 2019: CENTENARY OF THE MOGADOR THEATRE. It was built by an English entrepreneur, owner of many London theatres, Sir Alfred Butt. In the euphoria of the fin of the First World War, he conceived this theatre identical to the Palladium, convinced that he would conquer Paris. Inaugurated with pomp on April 21, 1919, the Palace-Theatre, as it was then called, however began its career badly, before knowing, under the direction of the Isola brothers then under Henri Varna, his first successes. Since then, the theatre, which became Mogador in 1920, resonates with the names of artists who marked their time: Mistinguett, Marcel Merkès, Paulette Merval, Tino Rossi and later, actors, directors and singers will inscribe their names in the memory of Mogador: Jacques Higelin, Barbara (who had his beginnings and to whom one owes the inscription of the theatre as historical monuments of France), Michel Galabru, Jacques Weber, Jérôme Savary, Robert Hossein, among others.
