Union What? International e: "Murmures de diseuses" at the invitation of AWARE at Villa Vassilieff

The AWARE team: Archives of Women Artists, Research and Exhibitions and the artists of the collective Union Quoi? International e invites the public to visit the Villa Vassilieff, former studio of the artist Marie Vassilieff, and to reflect on the notions of heritage and archives within this space.
It will be an opportunity for you to explore this place and its layout designed by matali crasset, including the research and documentation center entirely dedicated to women artists and feminist art, as well as the projection room and the listening room.
The members of the collective Union What? International e have carte blanche to offer workshop, listening and projection times related to issues of transmission and matrilineal heritage through archives, stories, practices and creation. Find the complete programme on our website: awarewomenartists.com
Union What? International e is composed of students and former students of art schools: «We appropriate this term «International e» by a more sensitive use and think together: «We found ourselves here, in France, how liveWe help each other and learn together in order to break down these categorizations that are violently rooted in our different histories. The convergence of our diverse questions, thoughts and perspectives has made us a place open to consideration and imagination.”
On the agenda:
• Multi-language writing workshops for children and adults
• Story exchange “braids a strand of my hair with yours”
• “Letters to Our Elders”: Intervention and activation of the documentation centre with public participation
• Film programming in the screening room
