The City of Paris invites you to travel through the Paris of the French Revolution through the traces still visible and the many symbols of this period, a major turning point in the history of France and the capital. On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, two exceptional visits are organized by the historian Guillaume Mazeau, who participated in the creation of the application Parcours Révolution in 2021.
This is an opportunity to rediscover the Palais Royal district, the starting point of the Revolution in Paris. Rare space of freedom under the Ancien Régime, it is a space where «patriots» meet and express themselves, but also where insurrection movements are born in the image of the taking of the Bastille.
