The oldest photo studio in the City of Montreuil, Studio Boissière began its commercial activity at its current address in 1951\. Created by Varastade Kasparian, orphan survivor of the Armenian Genocide collected near Blois by the Karagheusian Foundation, this family studio was and remains a place of photographic practice transmitted over 4 generations. After training at Harcourt Studios, Varastade Kasparian founded his own studio and practised neighbourhood photography as a family, consisting of two shops, a shooting room and a film laboratory, the studio keeps up to the present day an archive of the major events in the lives of the inhabitants of this working-class suburb. From 1960 to 1970, Varastade’s son, Roger Kasparian, photograhie the greats of the music of the Sixties, from the Beattles to the Who including Sylvie Vartan, Eddy Mitchel, Sheila who pose under the spotlight of Studio Boissière, the photo background of 'l'Œil des Sixties' was rediscovered by Philippe Manoeuvre in
