Opening of the Foyer de l'Ame temple to the public
Saturday 16 September from 13:00
Built between 1905 and 1907, the Foyer de l'Ame is the last great temple built in Paris. Come and discover this unique place, witness of late Art Nouveau, with its passageways and skylight reminiscent of the architecture of department stores. A living heritage, bearing a history, inherited from liberal and social Protestantism. The Foyer de l'Ame has the only baroque organ in Paris.

À propos du lieu

Temple protestant du Foyer de l'Âme

The temple of the Home(Foyer) of the Soul, located near(about) the Bastille in Paris, is a part of the Protestant Church joined by France. It was inaugurated in 1907\. His(Her,Its) characteristics: sobriety of architecture, simplicity and discretion. The deliberate austerity of the facade contrasts with the brightness of the room of worship(cult) the translucent ceiling of which evokes the big(great) windows "Art nouveau ", as that of Galleries Lafayette built at the same time.
