Let’s play together and as a family at the Loto de Buffon, which takes its name from Georges-Louis Leclerc Comte de Buffon (1707-1788): this famous naturalist directed the Royal Garden of Plants from 1739 until his death. In 24 cards representing 96 animals, this lottery, published in the 19th century and kept at the Museum’s Central Library, offers a playful abstract of its monumental Natural History in 36 illustrated volumes. Many prizes are to be won!
