Exhibition "L'Animal en monument"
18 artists, 29 (very) large-format works at the École Nationale Vétérinaire d'Alfort (EnvA), six at the Parc Zoologique de Paris, 35 smaller-format pieces at the Musée Fragonard: the fifth edition of "L'Animal en Monument", from September 16 to November 12, is sure to be rich in artistic diversity.
The exhibition of animal sculptures organized by the Association des anciens élèves et des amis de l'École d'Alfort, EnvA, the Salon national des artistes animaliers and the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle, with the support of the Agence nationale de sécurité sanitaire de l'alimentation, de l'environnement et du travail (Anses) and the Office national des forêts (ONF), will showcase pieces several meters tall, figurative or more abstract, representing animal species in different forms and from different viewpoints.
It's a chance to house these strange animals for two months, and to present them to the public of the Paris region, who flock to the outdoor spaces every year.
