The last campaign of the war in North Africa against the German-Italian forces, the Tunisian campaign sees the combat commitment of various elements of the Free French Forces: General Leclerc’s troops from Chad and units that had previously fought alongside the British in Eritrea, Syria and Libya. The Army Museum is a museum of military history, art and techniques, one of the largest in the world. The museum and the site of the Invalides in which it is inscribed bear witness to the military history of France. Through the military prism, the collections also bear witness to political, diplomatic and social history. The main courtyard, the churches, the prestigious collections of the Army Museum... So many spaces to discover to travel in history, from the Middle Ages to today, and meet the great men, but also the anonymous soldiers, who marked it. The museum occupies a large part of the Hôtel des Invalides built under Louis XIV under the responsibility of the Minister of War, the Marquis de Louvois, for"to receive and house all soldiers and officers who are both crippled, old and obsolete and to ensure there a sufficient fund for their subsistence". The buildings, whose construction began in 1671, on the plans of Liberal Bruant (1637-1697) welcome the first boarders in 1674\. The
