The Syndicat d'Initiative de Givet offers a guided tour entitled «Les Pas de Méhul», an urban walk in the historic city center of Givet Saint-Hilaire.
Visitors will discover monuments listed in the additional inventory of historical monuments and the history of Etienne Nicolas Méhul (1763-1817), illustrious child of Givet, composer of the famous «Song of departure».
Will be evoked among others the sites of the Pointe Est de Charlemont (view from the Esplanade), the former Garrison Armoury, the former Récollets Convent, the birthplace of Etienne Nicolas Méhul, the Church Saint Hilaire and its bell tower dear to Victor Hugo...
Tours are organized at 10:00 and 15:00.
