The church of Saint-Martin is that of the village of Mutigny. The villages Mutigny and Coulmier merged in 1798 under the name "La Chaussée", which became "La Chaussée-sur-Marne" in 1904.
The church of Saint-Martin, like the other church of La Chaussée-sur-Marne, is of Romanesque and chalk style. It dates from the 12th century. It has a bell from 1523 and a baptismal font; the bell is classified as a historical monument. A beautiful 1966 stained glass window, made by M. Moret master glassmaker, represents Saint Martin.
