Located at the top of the coteau, the buildings(ships) of the museum date the XIVth century. They established(constituted) at origin " the postern " the South of the imposing fortress of the castle of Leo (a blade of which reconstruction of the beginning of the XXth century is seen, in the back, on the picture(cliché)) then seat(siege) of the first barony of Touraine. In the XVth century the entrance(entry) of the castle was carried in the North with drawbridge. This south building(ship) became then and stayed till the beginning of the XIXth century the manorial then local prison. The presence of the vestiges of the chapel Notre-Dame of Pity and especially numerous and interesting graffitis of prisoners calls(reminds) it back. The collections of the Archaeological Company(Society) of Preuilly are exposed(explained) to it: collections of cut flints, of Gallo-Roman object among which a funeral safe(chest), Romanic capitals(big tops) resulting(coming) from several churches of the city(estate) and from art and popular traditions: the whole tool or object of the everyday life(daily paper). It agrees to indicate the lace set(group) and especially of delicate headgears from Tours in their flower motives marking different stages of life. The terrace offers a view(sight) of the ambient whole market town and campaign(countryside).
