The Domaine de Poulaines is located in the Centre Val de Loire region, near Valençay. Its history begins in ancient times. The Dendrochronology dated the frameworks of the Renaissance. The Brettes, owners since the beginning of the 19th century, are at the origin of the renovation of the outbuildings below the manor. Passionate about botany, they continued to develop an ornamental garden started in the 18th century, notably by planting the magnificent redwood of the court. The Estate consists today of a manor dating from the 16th century and common in the heart of a magnificent park crossed by the stream Le Poulain. Owner since the early 1990s, Valérie Esnault, has enhanced the site with the renovation of the mansion, the reconstruction of the entire Estate (purchase of the farm and surrounding plots), the creation of contemporary gardens around existing species and an arboretum.
