The castle, whose construction of the various buildings stretches from the 15th to the 18th century, experienced in the last century a slow and fierce degradation linked to its use by summer colonies.
Worse, in the 80s its owner ran out of money sold all the floors, woodwork and chimneys, while «modernizing» the rooms by tiling the floors and removing the cornices. The old cremona and shutter windows have been replaced by modern windows. Finally, the chimneys were removed “because there was now central heating and the castle had to look modern!”
Preserved with some improvements from 1993 to 2013 by the next owner, it is now the subject of in-depth restorations conducted year after year by Valérie and Nicolas.
